Early Life and Education
Alessia was born in Umbria, a beautiful region in the centre of Italy. From a very young age, she studied dance, acting and music and her family really supported her passion. From Umbria, she moved to Rome, to study professionally. She trained originally as a dancer at Ials and Il Baletto di Roma and many workshops around Italy. She then went to New York to sudy at Steps and Broadway Dance Center. As an actress she trained in London at the Actor Center and at Arts Educational where she received a bachelor degree in performance studies. She has also done many Tv courses and workshops in London at PineWood Studios, the London Academy of Film and Tv, in Los Angeles at TVI actors studio, Steve Nave actors workshop, Cathleen Leslie and Bernard Hiller's private and group classes. She recently studied improv at UCB in LA. At the moment Alessia is studying with Annie Grindlay in Los Angeles.
Musicals, TV, and Film Career
Alessia started her successful career in Musicals with the international hit Jesus Christ Superstar starring Carl Anderson, then touring all over Europe with the American production of that same musical directed by Baayork Lee. She then starred in Arlene Phillips's Saturday Night Fever playing the part of Maria in The Musical Dome in Germany and later touring Scandinavias most renowned theatres. Soon after, she was featured in Craig Revel Horwoods Copacabana which played in famous theatres all over Denmark. Arriving in London’s West End with already substantial recognition as a dancer, singer, and actress, she performed in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Musical Bombay Dreams at the Apollo Victoria Theatre and was also selected to perform at the opening presentation on Broadways St. James Theatre in New York.
She also performed always in London in the famous Aida at the English National Opera, at the National Film Theatre and the Queen's Elizabeth Hall as a lead actress and dancer.
When Alessia moved into film she was often cast in short films as the fiery latina, or the seductive lover, thanks to her background as a native Italian from the center of Italy. She was given the lead role of Julia Cervantes alongside the Indian star Richie Kapoor in the Feature film Sambar Salsa and then guest starring in the Paul O Grady show on English TV again playing a seductive and comedic Mediterranean woman.
Throughout her career as an actress she has also been the lead in numerous commercials changing her background from Italian, to Spanish, and even to Indian.
She has also performed alongside such stars as Kylie Minogue, Kanye West, Emma Bunton, and featured in many music videos and Tv promotions in the U.K, Europe, and America.
Alessia has also successfully produced and starred in a show called Forza di Vivere which means The Willingness to Live, in Rome at the Teatro Tirso Di Molina and was artictic director of a charity event at the Ministry of Treasure in Rome.
Alessia is now pursuing her career in Los Angeles where she is busy in a lot of different exciting projects that will be announced soon.
